Today is #UNDay, and I would like to congratulate the United Nations for turning 72, and for all of its achievements throughout its history. I would like to pay special tribute to all of those who have dedicated their lives to its mission, and who have worked so hard to make it what it is today.
On this commemorative occasion, I would like to appeal for:
1)Consideration to open up membership of Africa to the UN Security Council
2)The speedy and timely reponse to calls for intervention in conflict areas to alleviate human suffering.
3)Continued investment in girls to access education and develop their leadership skills

An analysis of the educational background of the top tier of dollar billionaires shows that they are much more likely than average to have gone to university. And they are more likely to have a postgraduate degree than no degree at all.
It doesnt give much support for the image of self-taught entrepreneurs, relying on their own wit and wisdom rather than higher education. The number crunching, by insurance company GoCompare, has examined the post-school education of people appearing in the top 100 billionaire rich lists by Forbes magazine over the past 20 years. It shows that 76 percent of these billionaires have a degree. This breaks down to 47 percent having a bachelors degree, 23 percent a masters degree and a doctorate. The most popular subjects were courses related to economics and engineering. There were many more studying sciences than arts or humanities.

Online fashion app Myntra, a unit of Flipkart, has announced the “End of Reason Sale” (EORS) with discounts running as deep as up to 80%. The company said it expects its two days sale on January 2 and 3 will see 10 times jump in its daily revenue.
“Our End of Reason Sale is the biggest shopping carnival for fashion in the country. More than 7.6 million Myntra customers will get to pick up bargains across Indian and international brands. EORS is really about starting the new year looking good and with a new wardrobe to match. During the two-day sale, we expect to serve over 700,000 customers and the daily revenue rate to go up by as much as 10X,” said CEO Ananth Narayanan.
The company said over 2,000 national and global brands will participate in the two day sale. During the sale, it claimed, Myntra will be the first fashion retailer to launch the Spring Summer 2016 collection for buyers in January itself. “We are happy to announce the third edition of India’s largest fashion sale. Through EORS we break away from the traditional end of season sale format which usually last for 6-7 weeks. In the span of just two days, shoppers can avail the best of fashion from the widest catalogue at amazing prices,” said Prasad Kompalli, Head of eCommerce Platform, Myntra.
After going app only in May, Myntra re-launched its mobile website with limited access to lure customers in downloading their app for complete access such as buying the products.
